Life.
I'd like to update more often... but with the joys of trying to get medical care with no insurance, and work being quite the nightmare, I haven't really been motivated to.
I thought our medical system was a joke when we had insurance.. and now when I actually need help, it's (so far) impossible to get. It's enough to make me want to move to oh.. Canada, UK, Australia.. Japan. Hell, I could even go to Iraq if I wanted free health care from my own government. Although, I'm sure I wouldn't qualify, seeing as how I'm a young(ish) American citizen and all.
And work? I swear half the people in this building have lost their minds. Oh.. there goes someone screaming again now.
*sigh* Anyone want to trade lives for a couple months or so?

Goodbye Ray.
When I was in high school, and we still had a bookstore that specialized in science fiction and fantasy, Ray Bradbury came to town. At the time, he was my favorite author, so of course I asked my mom if we could go see him. I'd read everything of his I could get my hands on, so I was understandably nervous. I mean, he wrote books! Books that I loved. When it was our turn and we got up to his table.. I'm sure I said, "Hi" or something, but the thing I'll never forget is when he said, "I like your shirt!"
Yep.. that's the shirt. A guy sticking his tongue out. And though I haven't worn it in years. I can't see myself ever getting rid of it.Maybe I'm about due to read all those old books again..
“Some people turn sad awfully young. No special reason, it seems, but they seem almost to be born that way. They bruise easier, tire faster, cry quicker, remember longer and, as I say, get sadder younger than anyone else in the world. I know, for I'm one of them.”
